Which is exactly the point that I was making.  The top 1% are spending millions of dollars on ads against Trump because Trump is not looking in the best interest in them, but rather the other 99% of the people.  So essentially they are trying to buy a candidate (Rubio) and the majority of the Republicans see this.  Meanwhile you have Trump who has solely taken small donations, spending the least amount of money, and having the best results.  



I think it's more of a product them having invested HEAVILY in other campaigns and being unwilling to start investing in another campaign.

I think (I haven't checked EVERY candidate.) that only Sanders can make the "not beholden" to big donors campaign.
