Not really. In fact, relations with Russia should improve considerably.
That fact that this guy is considered is actually a blessing. He defeats his opponents in debates by being blunt, deceptive and funny in whichever order he desires. He takes full advantage of the fact that politics is more about entertainment than actual change. His crazy ideas give him more support because people get the impression that voting for him might actually cause change in a very stale political landscape.
The only way for someone to beat the likes of Donald Trump is to be honest and intelligent; two very lacking traits among politicians as most seem to be better suited as actors. Trump rising to power may finally encourage such candidates to speak up and gain more recognition as politics in general is taken more seriously. Because as it stands, making fun of the competition appears to be all that it takes to win the election.
