Let's say VR bombs this generation: do you think anyone will attempt to work with it again ?

VR must become even more practical and affordable for it to appeal to the masses and have better possibilities at success.

So something that does what it says well, or the opposite where it is cheap.  First stage of brand new tech's life.  Cannot have it both ways.
