That's quite a bit more than I thought. And from the description of what it includes, the Touch controllers aren't included so once they launch you'll have to pay for them aswell.
That doesn't look good for both the HTC Vive and PSVR. Vive will include the same hardware than the Rift plus the two tracking devices that scan the room and a pair of controllers. So it will be even more expensive.
And PSVR has the same than the Rift plus the "External Processing Unit", so while the headset may be cheaper, the package can cost the same or more.
2016 may be the year of VR, but it will definitely not be the year VR became available to everyone.
