Oh yes, every time. They have to appeal to the masses after all. But the reason why they have to do that is because they are making decisions over our heads. When was the last time a public vote was held to decide wether or not to engage in war? I can't see such a vote ever succeding, no matter what propaganda they throw at us. Thing is though, the world moves with the flow of cash, and war generates a lot of money. The sad truth is that if there was world peace tomorrow, no demands for anything military related, the economy would plummet. |
