Peaceful? That's really not the case, we have serious internal problems and very high killing statistics.
We just get all our money robbed and are damn weak globably in the war department, as pretty much any high tech department. The few money we can actually use to generate anything goes to basic stuff so we can't really sustain an economy of war and so don't mess up with countries that can. We can't actually protect ourselves.
So we get neutral so nobody have any will to mess up with us, because if they do we are screwed.

I meant peaceful regarding international relations... I know our country has high killing stats, corruption and the likes, I think every brazilian know. :P
