In 2001 the PS2 sold 5.3 million between Nov 23rd and Jan 1st (or whatever the Jan date was then lol) and for November and December combined it sold 6.9 million. So the difference was 1.6m extra during that 3 week period in 2001. Or to put it another way 23% of sales came from those 3 weeks and 77% was from the holiday period in 2001. But of course we can't apply these exact percentages to 2002 and 2015. |
Thanks, well that does make it easier. Unless the percentage of the total sales for those 3 weeks hit 33% or more in 2002 the ps2 did better then than the ps4 now.
