I know it helps in list warz but Idk why people still make a big deal about games coming to PC. "bububut ppl who sell xboxs will be pissed" uh, no they wont. Think back on all the deals console companies have made that keep games off their competitors platforms but include a PC release. It's not nearly as bug a deal as people make it out to be.

I mean, there's a reason SFV and No Man's Sky are coming to PC too.

It matters because as more and more people get PCs capable of playing these games, the X1's value diminishes. Right now it certainly seems to matters less than having the game on a competing console, but it's hard for us to say much past that point. We don't have the data necessary to come to firm conclusions.

Speaking personally, the uncertainty around how much MS are going to commit to PC gaming is what pushed me to postpone my purchase of an X1 until things are clearer. I buy consoles explicitly for the exclusives, and i don't mind waiting for them. How many end up on PC will directly influence whether i buy an X1 or not. Maybe i'm a one off, maybe there are many like me. It's hard to be sure right now.

Anyway, I doubt it matters a tremendous amount to MS. Even if their W10 gaming strategy does eat away at Xbox, they'd still be making their money, just from a different avenue. To anyone who is a console-focused gamer though (of which there are many on VGC), anything that could affect Sony, MS, or Nintendo's success in the console space is relevant discussion, and will inevitably come up every time news like this pops up (if not always for the right reasons). It just happens to be a discussion some of us are a bit bored of :p
