Should I get Destiny (not taken King) or Killzone Shadow Fall?

Mercenary is more fun than Shadow Fall, BUT, seeing as how I've heard the base Destiny game has been ruined without Taken King, I'd go with Shadow Fall. It's still fun, but not as good as the PS3 games or Mercenary.
