But for real, I wouldn't mind them ditching the love story elements. They did it for XII, right? Might as well do it again. The FF fanbase isn't overwhelmingly teenagers as it used to, the cliched hero and heroine save the world together with the power of love and friendship is TIRED, and doesn't appeal to adults as it does to teens.
Can the skinny guy ask Noctis at some point of the game "how about your date? Princess whatever her name is", and have Noctis answer "fuck that bitch, I'm trying to save the kingdom, not become a dad".
