Will their be anything Sony and Microsoft can do to be the winner of this years E3 if the NX happens to be very highly recieved?

Why would you not want sony or ms, to make slim versions of their consoles?

cheaper "slim" version that make less noise/heat/power consumption, its a win for the consumers.
