Best Graphics of 2008? Empire: Total War.

And I realize that Total War has a million things going on, and for its kind of game, has the best graphics to date. But when you say something like “best graphics of 2008”, you are opening up yourself to all games.

How about for "most technically impressive"? Empire: Total War has thousands of units being played at the same time. It is much more impressive than GTA IV, since in GTA you have atmost a few dozens at the same time. If you count the stationary models(like buildings) GTA can reach a few hundreds, but that is still nowhere near the 4000  or 5000 visible in Total War.

 

Sure, I will agree it's the most technically impressive of 2008 :)
