Interstellar would definitively work as an adventure game in the vein of Telltalle Games style (not classic point n' click full of witty puzzles). Just think of the same plot with some alterations (in order to fit more into the videogame way of progression, unlike the movie).

Try picturing Cooper saying goodbye to Murph before boarding the ship, at their house. Imagine how hard would be telling your daughter that you'll be absent so many years with Telltalle's time pressure onto you, which will otherwise trigger an awkwardly silent and staring Cooper and Murph hating us even more.
