Yes, but it would probably be cut back. Perhaps you can't play blu-ray movies, or you can't access the PS3's large selection of multimedia apps, ect.

 

I see no point in this, so I wouldn't buy it either.

Without the ability to access the PS3's huge PSN library (classics, originals and whatnot), you would definitely be better off with a PS3.
