My PC cost me about $750 after tax with my current hardware (including upgrades.) It plays the Witcher 3 at 1080p High (some Ultra settings) 45 - 50fps, Fallout 4 maxed at 55-60 fps, Dragon Age Inquisition maxed at locked 30 fps, Watch Dogs high/very high locked at 30 fps, emulates PS2, Wii, GC games flawlessly, etc, etc. Here's the hardware: i5 4690k @ 4.4 Ghz ($210) r9 280x ($200) 8 GB DDR3 1600mhz ($50) 240 GB SSD ($70) ASROCK Z97 Motherboard ($90) 1 TB HDD ($45) Osrock Case ($40) Corsair 500 W PSU ($20) Keyboard and Mouse ($20) Operating System (free, but windows 7 keys can be found for $20) Today you can buy a PC that outpaces this quite decently for the same price. And my PC already decently outpaces the PS4 by about 30% better performance depending on the application. If i cut out extras (like my HDD or SSD) and went for a cheaper CPU this PC would still perform better than the PS4 for less than $600. |
Unless you have MSDN, you just admitted to being a pirate and proved half why so many build costs are wrong (for people that aren't douchebag pirates).
To get a legit version of a current OS it usually costs $100-150.
