None of them were flops. Even with Bayonetta 2, if the game is around half milion sold (is probably more) it has actually a bigger attach ratting than Bloodborne on Ps4, 5 times bigger.

Not trying to start anything, really, but among your best examples for mature games on Nintendo consoles being successful, the most recent example is over 11 years old.



That's because the Wii was very casual friendly and I only mentioned some the most important ones, but games like CoD and R4 had good sales on Wii anyway.

And the older I mentioned is Bayonetta 2, that may have sold poor, but thats because wiiu userbase is small, however the attach rate is pretty good, so there is a public for those kinds of games on Nintendo systems that shouldnt be ignored, but it depends a lot on the system success.
