I really hate the voice of Lara, it is really grating and too breathy. When I hear her it makes me want to break things....
I also didn't like the reboot....ALL the characters were "just there" and I felt no drive to go on.
Now I am sure that ROTR is a very good game in its own right but I see a few more things that annoy me.... one fight is a pure rip-off of a fight in TLOU and needlessly so. The brutality of her executions is in line with Daesh and I find it totally off-putting for a so-called adventurer. The names and script for the characters seems aweful from what I have heard so far.
All these things seem to be overlooked so that games media people can champion it as a "hidden gem", an overlooked wonder of a game.... and create some mystique around it.
I also find the business practice of paying to keep a game off another platform absolutely revolting and will not be supporting that.here, I am separating this issue from the game itself for clarity.
