Nice choices on RPG's

Thank You! Although I had posted here before a long time ago.

Sure, I'll talk about a genre I love o: I'm playing Tales of the Abyss atm, as well as XCX. Those are pretty good RPGs... x ) ToA is good, but I don't really like Luke, like... at all. The others are great though. XCX is just great. I get a kick out of just running around, collecting blue drops and fighting monsters.

I have Tales of the Abyss on my backlog, I heard it is good... And that Luke really develops into a much better character as the game goes on.

I was trying to find this thread and I couldn't find it.

One of my 2015 resolutions, was to beat 10 JRPGS this year (believe it or not), and I did!

In order:

Star Ocean - The Last Hope
Final Fantasy X
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
Luminous Arc
Fossil Fighters
Pokemon Black Version
Final Fantasy VII
Baten Kaitos -Eternal Wings and The Lost Ocean
Star Ocean - First Departure
Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII

I enjoyed them all, although by near the end of Fossil Fighters, Final Fantasy VII, Baten Kaitos, and Crisis Core; I just wanted them over with, they became tedious to me.

I should've spent more time with Pokemon, I only beat the Pokemon League once... Will go back to it someday.

Nocturne is my personal GOTY, followed closely by Star Ocean The Last Hope.

Crisis Core really has a sad ending, couldn't help but feel a bit down after the credits rolled.

Onto 2016 with "#JRPG2016", in which I hope to clear some of my backlog starting with Final Fantasy VIII.

I was a massive fan of Star ocean 4 The Last Hope aswell. Really looking forward to SO5.

my favourite game this year by far wasn't an RPG, in fact it didn't even have any combat in it. Life Is Strange was such a massive experience it immersed me like no other game and had me thinking long after playing it, also had a brilliant soundtrack.

Same here, I really enjoyed it and got me into the series. I have Second Evolution and 'Til The End Of Time in my backlog. 5 should be quite good, although I read an interview in which the director said they're going "back to the series' roots", so they'll make it more in line with 1 and 2... That's sad, those games don't really offer anything different than your other standard JRPGs when it comes to setting, at least 3 and 4 really TAKE IT TO SPACE, unlike the first two.
