When did I use any variation of "don't matter"? If you read my comment properly, you would see I just meant that soundscan numbers aren't needed to prove there is a market for selling albums, since those albums are being sold.
If proving there is a market for a game, then numbers would be needed, but that was not your question. Your question was solely on album sales. Unless you meant to prove there is a market for games, but then your question was not that clear on that point.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
