I was commenting on you saying soundscan numbers don't matter, and there's a market just because they continue to sell them. That isn't even justification enough for DLC in Rock Band or another DLC equipped music game. There needs to be a large enough market to even consider japanese tunes, because there's other more lucrative markets they haven't even tapped yet which should logically come first, like say hispanic rock, reggae, etc.

When did I use any variation of "don't matter"? If you read my comment properly, you would see I just meant that soundscan numbers aren't needed to prove there is a market for selling albums, since those albums are being sold.

If proving there is a market for a game, then numbers would be needed, but that was not your question. Your question was solely on album sales. Unless you meant to prove there is a market for games, but then your question was not that clear on that point.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
