Johnson dieing at the end of HaloCE - I'm pretty sure that was a non-canon ending. Yes it was confusing that this got retconned but he accompanied you on every mission and always got killed. That was even more confusing.

Are you serious? Everything in the universe is already not beleavable. A fucking giant planet-like shaped as a ring.... But a airtight suit, with personal force fields, heals you, holds any type of gun etc. That can handle pretty much anything you throw at it. You can't belive it works in space.
