What strikes me reading through this thread is how vast Star Wars has become that whole sub-fan groups now exist. For a long time I existed in sort of a bubble that Star Wars was amazing fun and everyone agreed Empire was the best film. When the prequels came out they were universally panned in my group and I didn't enjoy them at all. Now we have a third trilogy that seems my group is split over with most putting it at 3 or 4 (I put it at 4).
Seeing people actually like the prequels or say they couldn't get into original or Force Awakens was best to even worst entry brings home how this series will never please us all. We're too many and too varied now that I really don't envy people having to make next entries.
