Is it much different from 5? Only played 5 and liked it a lot. |
Similar, but I like 3>4>5. 4 is a lot of people's favorites. And 2 is usually a nonfactor, but some like it.
3 is more classic and much more difficult with rpg aspects.
4 and 5 starts the trend of invincible warrior and weaker soldiers, weapons lvling up, more characters. 4 has much better sieges, has specific character duels (1v1). Arcing storylines. 5 has bases. 4 has better voice acting, but 3's voice acting can be an acquired taste.
Similar: Soundtracks are all similar but again I prefer 3. Morale is similar for all. Story similar of course, some different battles included in each.
Imo 3 and 4 must be experienced, 5 was the 4th mainline Dynasty Warrior game on PS2 so some people had series fatigue but it was still a solid game. Of 6-8, don't play 6 and you should be good.
