I haven't played it yet, cause I'm cheap when it comes to digital releases. Still $13 on Steam in the winter sale. It's on my wishlist so I'll play it eventually.
The graphics put me off a bit tbh. Maybe it's a personal uncanny valley effect. People like to compare Ori to Ghibli's art, which is my all time favorite. Yet the two are not comparable to me, for example the lighting is completely different. Ori does not have a hand drawn feel at all.
Besides the great opening, how is the rest of the game? From this thread I get the impression that people only like the opening? Somehow it's not compelling enough to keep playing? Maybe the opening makes the rest seem less?
