"... The first decision Square Enix made was to make sure XV would have a complete and coherent story in one game. In deciding which elements would fit into XV from Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the team went through everything in detail and tried to keep as many elements from the original story in as possible. The team considered what what would fit and what was essential for the story to be containefd in a single title."

The point is... It'll be a full game? I've adressed it in the OP already. Very first thing I've adressed, actually.
The point here is if SE will make something else with FFXV world and all the built with the engine in the future.
Do you think there will be something else after FFXV? Or that they'll be moving to XVI and drop anything about XV after it's done?

I believe that SE got this generation covered already with XV and VII 3 episodes (or so). After VII project is done they will move on to develop XVI for a new generation of consoles using optimized Luminous engine. Luminous seems like an long term investment, it is capable engine so I can see them using it again to justify its long development.
