It has a chance ( which is an impressive accomplishment ) but I'm going to say no. Maybe in the future if Nintendo decided to expand Splatoon franchise.
FFXV on the other hand will surely be front loaded, which means the revenue will be huge as usual selling that amount of copies at full price. XV has a potential to expand the fanbase as well. It is introducing new ideas and making a big changes from previous games in the franchise. Maybe that freshness will help to break the usual trend.
