Im worried about buying too much stuff from my list, just in case if my secret santa already got me my gift and just hasnt sent it yet.
I also hope that my tiny tim got his games cos i checked in my inventory and they are still there but yet it said they where sent. He was also online after i sent them, but then maybe he just didnt notice them or wasnt online long enough?.

I had a similar problem last year.

Is your Tiny Tim from another region? Because with Steam's new rules, if you buy a game from one region (say US or Europe) and want to gift it to someone from another one (say Russia or South America), your gifts will be locked in your inventory for 30 days until you're able to gift them.

It sucks, I know.

Why do they do that?

I'm not really sure.

There are some countries where, due to the different pricing, make some games a lot cheaper than in others. I remember that not so long ago, when Basil was in India, he said that some games were almost half the price than in the US. That led to some people trying to trick the system and buys games on cheap countries and "gift" (gift on Steam, but sell by other ways) them to other users, something that Valve didn't like and decided to stop.

But I find it stupid that the system implemented to avoid that, also works the other way around. Prices in the US and Europe tend to be on the high side, so avoiding games bought in those regions to be gifted is beyond logic.

Please excuse my bad English.
