false, the wii motion plus came out summer of 09 with Sports resort. dont know where the 2010 came from.  and 1/3rd is also false, that only accounts of the Wii SPORTS RESORT bundle sales. other games had bundles (that sold like crap) and Ninty started bundling it with the system shortly after, that winter. So its probably closer to half of Wii owners having motion plus. So thats stil an install base of nearly 50mil. more than N64 and GC. yet it still sold less than WW for GC and far less than OOT for N64. so attach rate really doesnt mean anything at the end of the day.

Motion Plus come at summer 09, but Wii Remote Plus and Wii bundles with Remote Plus come out at end of 2010. Wii Sports Resort sold 33m, thats 1/3 of all Wii owners, also not false.

We can say that nearly 50m owners could have Wii Remote Plus or Motion Plus, but thats at least 50m people that needed to buy Wii Remote Plus or Motion Plus if they wanted to play Skyward Sword, so definitely SS sales numbers would be higher if game doesn't required Wii Remote Plus or Motion Plus. Also Wii was very dead at end of 2011. when IS finally arrived.

Of Course that install base is not only factor if talk about sales, but definitely one factors.

so what? you needed a Gamecube to play Wind Waker and an N64 to play OOT. Its all just HW, hell if anything it should matter even less in SS case since its a add on/controller vs having to have a completly different system. And if one is a fan of Zelda would a ten dollar add on to a controller really deter one from getting the game? kind of doubt it.

I dont think install base is as big a factor as some make out. If people REALLY want a game they are going to get it no matter what.
