So you are saying the Wii stole a lot of PS2 and xbox owners who paid full price for them away from the PS3 and 360?
I think your wrong. Yes, some people who bought the PS2 at $179 or less own a Wii. Those are the casual gamers. Yes, they expanded the market by bringing in first time gamers.
But of both of those demographics, none were going to buy a PS3 or 360 yet anyway, so until the PS3 or 360 is in the market to capture the causal gamer (sub $200), they don't compete directly.
