Nothing is wrong or strange about trying to understand the market and the Jrpg fans on the internet. SE is very open for feedback lately and that is good. Persona is loved and has a very loyal fan base. One would think it is a mega franchise judging by how persistent the fans are, if he didn't know better. Of course it doesn't need to sell millions to be good.
Anyways, while Persona games build on a strong foundation, I find Final Fantasy to be much more interesting because of the ambition alone. FF reinvent the wheel offen ( even if that is not needed ) introduces new ideas and worlds. On the other hand, I know exactly what to expect from Persona 5. If I had to choose I would easily pick FFXV.
Interesting note, Presona is taking the lead on a poll made by kotaku on the same subject. I don't repect that site so I wouldn't give a link :p
