This is not something that should be tought at a state school in a secular country. It should be about learning as much about as many religions as possible. Comparing and contrasting and analyzing what draws people to certain religions (in certain time contexts) and away from others. In this context it can also be very beneficial to disscuss atheism and forced atheism as well.

This christianity centric approach to religion education in public schools has to stop, it has no place there. Christianity should be one religion among many we learn about in school.

It's honestly disappointing the way the parents reacted. While it wasn't smart for the teachers to make students write that(since Americans are sensitive to the topic), the outrage the parents made was blown out of proportion.

 

A christian mom said her daughter was being forced to Islam. I mean, really? Is everything people do nowadays racist, sexist, or offensive?
