I don't care if a game is perfect, what I want is a game that's fun to play.
I'd say Mario Kart 8 is a 10/10, because it is incredibly fun to play, has a crazy amount of content and a lot of replayability. Sure it has its faults, like a gimped battle mode, but that doesn't make the overall game less fun and impressive.
And while Perfect Dark suffers from a horrible frame rate, it was a definite 10/10 back in 2000 (?) for the same reasons as MK8.
