There are lots of unknown people with lots of talent waiting for an opportunity. Doesn't mean Konami will find the right people though. What I find interesting though, is that Konami being in Japan and all, how will they find people willing to dive into videogames that have both the creativity, knowledge of historic events, and will to swallow that Metal Gear story, to make a proper MGS sequel. I'm afraid they will scratch everything and just go for a new story with a few of know characters.
Even if the game looks good? I mean, it could, it looks difficult but it could turn out to be a good game.
Wouldn't surprise me.
Who knows. But I don't think this would be a beneficial tactic in that case. I feel Konami should lay low for a while.
I'm kind of afraid of that, being the case that the game ends up turning out to be good. |
you're right and wrong
there are plenty of young software developers with unutilized talent- yes- but its actually a pretty in-demand job at this point. if you know what you're doing and have some experience in game design a lot of studios would be interested in you
I guess what I'm saying is that the best designers, young or old, sort of will have their pick on where to work. and I seriously doubt the majority would pick Konami at this point. I mean, hell, respected companies like Bethesda keep posting hiring ads
there is too much demand for good people in this industry for Konami to have much luck finding whole new teams after getting rid of so many of their people. they've screwed their video game division
and its not just Kojima, over time Konami has gotten rid of like ALL of their most recognizable and valuable designers for the majority of their series
