| Intrinsic said: Sigh...... its happening already. As long as Nintendo are selling a box that's put primarily under the TV and plays games primarily. Then they are competing with the PS4/XB1. And I'll say it again. if Nintendo releases the NX in 2016/2017 or even 2018. It will fail. And fail hard. They have to release in the same year that the next PS/XB comes out. That's the only chance they have of competing. They release too early, 2016/2017, and there won't be enough of a power difference to make it look distinctly a generational leap over what at the time will be a much cheaper ps4/xb1. Release too late, and people would just wait for a year to 18 months for the inevitable release of what would be a more powerful PS5/xb2. Sometimes I wonder how the people that run Nintendo think... they are just going about all this all wrong. |
If NX is somewhat similar to the speculation behind it, Nintendo is moving away from the traditional old bussiness model. They are going after something new, something that can sell better than WiiU/3DS.
