And I'll say it again. if Nintendo releases the NX in 2016/2017 or even 2018. It will fail. And fail hard. They have to release in the same year that the next PS/XB comes out. That's the only chance they have of competing. They release too early, 2016/2017, and there won't be enough of a power difference to make it look distinctly a generational leap over what at the time will be a much cheaper ps4/xb1. Release too late, and people would just wait for a year to 18 months for the inevitable release of what would be a more powerful PS5/xb2. Sometimes I wonder how the people that run Nintendo think... they are just going about all this all wrong. |
If it is a unified handheld/home console/other form factor platform, and especially considering how all companies are rethinking their platforms for future generations, an early release won't be as drastic as you make it seem.
