Listen up, JRPG fans: Final Fantasy 6 hits Steam today. This is the game that Tom rightly described as the best 2D Final Fantasy and also called "the best of the whole lot" in a fit of lunacy. Still, it's pretty good.

BLACK DESERT ONLINE – FIRST CLOSED BETA TESTING PHASE IS NOW LIVE

Daum Games announced today that the first closed beta testing phase for Black Desert Online is live and will run until December 22nd at 7:00AM UTC. Players who have been selected to participate should follow the instructions provided to access the Beta and get an early look at the MMORPG with the deepest character customization system to date.

 

DYING LIGHT: THE FOLLOWING GETS STORY TEASER TRAILER

Techland released today a story teaser trailer for its upcoming game expansion, Dying Light: The Following. The new storyline takes place shortly after the final events of the original game as protagonist Kyle Crane and his group of survivors face both a new threat and new hope for salvation.

TEKKEN SERIES DIRECTOR & PRODUCER, KATSUHIRO HARADA, IS READING REQUESTS FOR A PC VERSION OF TEKKEN 7

While Bandai Namco has not confirmed yet a PC version for Tekken 7, Katsuhiro Harada tweeted a couple of days ago that he’s reading the requests for such a version. And even though nothing is confirmed yet, we’re pretty sure that this fighting game will, some day, find its way on our platform.

 

HIDEO KOJIMA FORMS NEW STUDIO, FIRST TITLE WILL HIT THE PC AFTER ITS PS4 RELEASE

Yesterday, Hideo Kojima announced the form of a new studio. Kojima Productions is again a thing, and according to its official FAQ, it’s currently working on a new title that will come first on PS4. And yes, the game will be released on the PC after its console release.

By the way, between this, the Tekken 7 news and the other many games that are on the same situation, can this gen be the "PS4+PC" gen? Or, if we look at the XboxOne exclusives, the "console exclusive+PC" gen? Because I swear that the number of games that are truly exclusive is rather low.

 

JUST CAUSE 3 – FIRST PATCH RELEASES THIS WEEK, NO WORD ON MULTI-GPU SUPPORT

Avalanche Studios’ FistofZeno revealed today that the first patch for Just Cause 3 will be coming this Friday. This patch features significantly improved loading times, optimizations to online stats and general stability fixes. Unfortunately, though, there is still no word regarding the game’s multi-GPU support.

MIGHTY NO. 9 GETS NEW GORGEOUS SCREENSHOTS

Deep Silver has released a new set of screenshots for Mighty No. 9. Mighty No. 9 is the highly anticipated, challenging side-scrolling action game created by Keiji Inafune, that is currently planned for a February 12th release.
