Makes sense. They've already beat Microsoft globally and look like they're going to remain in the lead in the US, the most competitive market, for the rest of the generation. The PS2 is the number one selling home console of all time, so selling more than that system at this point in time is a huge deal.
Staying ahead of the PS2 definitely is a much bigger accomplishment than beating Xbox.
