Yeah, I heard about that comment and it is completely true the PS3 can do more physics at a time but do you really need that many? I know there's one space where I have about 400-500 physics object active but I can't imagine needing more than that. There are a few outside parts where I have A LOT going on but being limited on physics objects hasn't been my problem.

So yeah, the PS3 can do more but you don't always need more. Like the space above with 400-500 physics objects I just couldn't imagine putting more in there. I have plenty of memory left to do so if I needed to but the space is already pretty crowded. It also helps if you do things effeciently and clean up areas you're done with.

I assume it all works on the Wii including Velocity. I've personally never had a reason to fiddle with it but I'm pretty sure it all works on there. I imagine it just can't do nearly as much as 360 and PS3.

As for the Crysis video, those were done in whatever their simulation mode was, they aren't really running in real time. I forget what it's called or how it's done because I've never played Crysis, I just remember it isn't actually done in real time.


1. I was just asking for clarification. 

2. Not claiming the Wii could do all that. Just wanted to know if it would even fit. It's to see about my contention that the Wii is a reduced spec 7th gen system, not a slightly suped-up 6th gen system.

3. Well of course that couldn't be done in the actual game. I was more wondering about that physics engine compared to your company's. 



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
