Doubt it. His position is one that assists in making those decisions. The Xbox fanbase obviously doesn't support games like Tomb Raider. At the very least, he had the power to stop it.

 

Yeah but isn't his real boss Square? They're the publishers right? If so, there's no way he would have made this decision on his own. That shit would have had to be cleared and signed off in Japan.

 

Maybe this is him taking responsibility for sponsoring the idea to the higher ups.
