Shards Online (currently in pre-Alpha testing), described below by RipperX as "Ultima Online meets Neverwinter Nights" (first time I heard this crossover!?!):

PS Speaking of other "independent" sources (that is, besides the official site) there is also a Ten Ton Hammer overview from couple months ago.
