As someone who has never made a video for YouTube, how does revenue work there? Do you get a monthly check from Google? Can you monitor subscribers, views, likes (that so many YouTubers seem to beg for) to know roughly how much money to expect?
I've always been curious how much money there is actually to be made. I know some channels I watch use Patreon and make 2-5K a month, but they never disclose how much revenue YouTube itself makes them.
