It's not exactly surpising rockstar would say it, doubt any company would blame themselves.

I think there are some examples, but it's usually when a really good fix is ready, so they can take the blame, with minimum PR loss.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
