The thing about Turn based combat is that its redundant when tactics aren't in play. This is a major flaw becasuse the reality of most RPGs is that you spend at least 40% of battles just spaming the same attacks. Theres room for it to grow and be improved upon but devs seem quite lazy in that regard and just jump towards action RPGs as an easy solution. The tactile and reflex elements mean that even when tacticts is removed, the combat is still somewhat engaging
