Outside of the abyssmal sales of Vita, Sony has always had a strong following. Nintendo however went from king, to underdog, to king, to underdog. They are totally unpredictable and achieved what will always be one of the greatest turnarounds ever in gaming history with the sales of Wii off the back of the GCN (unless the NX can pull off another Wii off the back of the Wii U).
