There were talks, but what really broke the deal was when Microsoft would have required Nintendo to stop making hardware and their software would only have appeared on a Microsoft console. Or maybe Nintendo never intended to make a deal but were just being cordial with Microsoft during their meetings. This happened before the original Xbox came out. |
An American company cannot buy a Japanese one i believe.
