Back in November, we informed you about the first HD Texture Pack for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Today, Halk Hogan PL released some new screenshots from the upcoming 2.0 version of his mod, showcasing some new HD textures that will be included in it. Modded images are on the left, whereas vanilla shots are on the right. We’ll be sure to let you know when this new version becomes available, so stay tuned for more!

Towards the end of November, Valve implemented a system of 'trade holds' on Steam: three-day waiting periods between trade orders and their execution. If your account has been compromised and some soulless creature is trading away all of your items, the hold ought to give you the chance to discover the fraud and put a stop to it. The holds can be got around completely by using Steam Guard two-factor authentication, which necessitates the use of a second iOS or Android device. However, many weren't happy with the new waiting period, particularly those without compatible smartphones. Valve has now opted to walk us through its reasoning, and has some scary stats to back it up with.

WARHAMMER 40,000: DARK NEXUS ARENA HITS STEAM EARLY ACCESS

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Nexus Arena, the free-to-play MOBA that was announced back in February, is now available on Steam Early Access. The released-but-not-finished version of the game includes a new Soul Hunter game mode, in which players compete to be the first to deliver 50 souls to the Dark Nexus at the center of the map, and a new playable character called the Lychguard.

One of the tricky bits about making Far Cry Primal, as Ubisoft explains in its latest development blog update, is that we don't have any actual history from the Stone Age to tell us what it was like. So instead, the game and the land of Oros will be an "earnest recreation based on what we know about the time," with an impressive amount of effort being put into making it feel "real," even though it's not.
