Good point, I experienced the same thing. All my other games looked like someone had drawn them. Donkey Kong Country looked almost real to me. The animals, plants, the world even seemed to have depth. The only other moment that was as big for me was when I was first saw a Nintendo 64 with a full blown Mario Kart in true 3d
