The problem is that it's not just an award show but made by the same corporations that give each other the awards. So to the natural cheese and circle jerking you'll get added corporate marketing bullshit. Some parts may have been genuine but it's just all drained in a bunch of bullshit.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
