That 1TB 3-game XBO bundle continues dropping down the charts, leaving the Gears bundle all on its lonesome to fend off the PS4, and it's not doing a good job of that right now since it's in the 30s while the NDS and Star Wars bundles are at #1 & #3. The PS4 has to be outselling the XBO by well over a 2:1 margin right now.

The PS4 was already the overall sales leader for the year in the U.S. despite costing $50 more than the XBO. At $50 less than the XBO, it's a slaughter. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Sony permanently reduced the PS4 to $300 relatively soon.

I just don't see how Sony can maintain their current profit forecast for their gaming division if they permanently cut it to 300$ now.

They could if they only sold it at that price with a first party game. Like NDC. Problem is that it'd make selling 350 bundles with a third party game more difficult in 2016. When is the first big multiplat of 2016 that has a Sony deal? If it's months off they could just keep selling the NDF at 300 until then and only do the permanent cut to 300 across all bundles in the Spring.
