IMO I do not like a lot of the new practices but they are not going anywhere.
Great points throughout, however........
Just like re-masters and re-makes will keep coming, so will episodes, chapters, whatever you want to call it. Gamers will buy it, and the publishers know this.
Each year we complain, threaten to boycott, and shout things like "Gamers Unite!", and then .............Star Wars Battlefront sells over 3 million copies week 1, not counting the revenue from dlc.
We sometimes rant about it pre-release, and then buy it regardless. It is the cost of entry to enjoy some of the games we love.
