I have to disagree. The pacing in that scene is very unlike most Uncharted games. An injection of high adventure there would be a perfect counterbalance to the sedate nature of the scene, giving that whole scene a completely different and unique feeling. We, as the player, are expected to reminisce and fill in that scene with our minds eye and then when the camera sweeps back down we're supposed to feel nostalgia at actually haviing played that scene before and so know exactly what he's just told his brother. It would be a slight problem for people who had never played the original games, not a great problem but definitely something that would not have the impact it would have for those who HAD played the scene before. Give everyone the opportunity to play those scenes again and everyone understands and feels something, and of course it offers some replayability.
I'm just suspicious of that cut as I'm suspicious of the cut from inside to outside in the jeep chase scene.
